Today’s news has been dominated by North Korea’s possible underground nuclear test. As the next days unfold, it will be interesting to see what the reaction is going to be, apart from the unanimous strongly worded statements that surfaced today. Especially of interest will be the true reaction of China, a country which may be among the few that might hold any sway with North Korea.
Remember today as the nations of the region grapple with the possibility of North Korea as a nuclear power - it was only 1994 that Jimmy Carter managed to “preserve the peace… through dialogue and negotiation.” You see, North Korea promised not to create a nuclear weapon then… I’m sure this is all an illusion.
Is there anyone who continues to doubt the path that Ahmadinejad is taking Iran? I’m sure he is watching the world’s reaction with great interest.
The days ahead are certain to be tense given this serious situation. So perhaps it’s best today, to take some time for some fun - Photoshopping Kim Jong-Il @ Hotair.
